Road Map

about Lettersoup

get it

read on it

  • The GooCanvas project was taken over by the GNOME team, which is great news; i read on it a year ago and gave up on using it since it was unmaintained. It offers a simple Cairo canvas with some funky functionality - drag and move objects, general interactivity, and a lot more. This kind of higher-level interface would be *perfect* for a visual like Lettersoup
  • LetterSoup needs a logo!
  • This wiki could have the same theme as ShoeBot, and with a different logo.
  • close and publish a first draft of the Lettersoup file format and structure
  • write the documentation for the Lettersoup model (concepts, examples)
  • prototype interfaces for LetterChef and LetterSurgeon for a first release
  • have Lettersoup output the Fontforge supported formats
  • come up with a proper plan for integrating Kamaelia functionality in LS, as well as a Fontforge interface
  • make this wiki URL pretty with Apache .htaccess rewrite rules like shoebot wiki
  • If you could add line breaks to LetterSoup's "sentence" part, so you can type \n to fill the screen up, that would be great! :-)
